I'd like to share a sketch of Norma Jean aka Marilyn Monroe

Monroe, one of my fav object to sketched, she had her own style and it doesn't take much to recognize her. The Hair, the Smile, the Gesture, her little mole and maybe her voice too. I remember I was in High School when i first drew her, There were an assignment about classic object and she was the first that came out.

Seen few of her movies, although she was not a strong "talented and skillful"  but i find her is very captivating to watch. Her beauty is divine, a classic one, I bet no man on earth could say that he don't want her. Seven Years Itch is one of my fav.

I heard her songs too, mostly from the movies, musically she had unique voice, spoiled tune and i found it quite teasing. Not much to say about her musically skills though. Well it's Norma Jean ...All about her Figure .. an Everlasting Classic Beauty ... call her Monroe, Marilyn ...

This time i want to altered Ray of Light hair style into Frozen one ...But don't think too much bout the picture

The Bohemian turns into Mystical

Madonna ... one of a kind, she raises the bar of creativity higher in music industry. Her hair style is one of i like from her, it keeps changing over the years. back in 1998 she released Ray of Light album, her first single was Frozen which brought out her new image in music and music video. In frozen video she appears as witch   who could turns into birds and dog and triplicate herself and the song is influence by a middle east ambient. I like this her image in this video, kind of spooky hahaha ... I thought she would kept this appearance through the year, but she didn't. She released her 2nd single " Ray of Light" .. This time she changed her appearance into bohemian curly which she kept quite long through 1998.

Drawing hair is one of most exciting. I could express my imagination since i'm always changing something in my drawing so it would look better as in my way. I've been practicing with Madonna images since her image is always changing so it would easier for me to get the picture in my mind, And in this picture i'm also practicing again drawing a Hand, it's tricky to draw a natural hand gesture. but with help line you could make it a nice one ...

I'd like to share how to draw with a helping line

I applied this technique of drawing when i was still in Junior high ... I was still in my process to learn sketch of human from drawing a cartoon character... This technique help me a lot about balancing, basic sketch and proportional of a figure. You see, when you using this technique it's like u have a guide for you to making a line, so the result will steady and similar from the original picture.

I left this technique when i'm able to create a basic sketch without helping line, Try to start drawing with this technique, and keep practicing ... I'm sure by time you'll need those help line no more ...

 Remixed, Remastered, dan Reissued Music

Di Teknologi jaman sekarang there are many possibilities in how engineers and producers can go back to enhance or change the sound of old favorites, yang kadang bikin bingung antara istilah Remixed, Remastered, and Reissued karena hampir mirip. Sebenernya perlu juga sih ngeh tentang ini karena kita jadi ngeh apa yang sebenernya kita denger walau kadang kita BoMat alias bodo amat yang penting ngedengerin. Biasanya ini bisa di compare pada music music yang di release di iTunes kalo untuk segi suara dan content

Remix

Sebuah lagu bisa di beri label atau di katakan di "Remix" apa bila lagu nye ntu di bikin beda dari aslinye in terms of tempo, musik atau ngga penambahan musik atau vokal, Biasanya lagunya jadi lebih pendek (biasanya namanye Radio Edit atau Radio Remix/Mix ) atau jadi lebih panjang (Extended Remix/Mix). Remix biasanya bertujuan buat promosi,  new interpretation to suit radio play, club or DJ play,  kreatifitas bermusik or to reach a different audience. Biasanya di rubah musik nya jadi RnB, Rock, Ballad, Country, Accoustic  atau Club Version. Lagu lagu yang di remix untuk Club kadang jadi bagus atau kadang malah jadi awur awuran kaga jelas, kalo untuk Radio Remix biasanya lagunya di pake buat MV yang sebagian besar jadi lebih bagus dari aslinya... pas beli kasetnya eh ga tau nya versi nya beda ama yang di MV #pengsan.. ntu jaman kaset dulu ... wkwkwkwk

Remaster
Sebuah lagu bisa di katakan atau di beri label “Remastered,” biasanya lebih ke peningkatan kualitas dari lagu tersebut. Mekanisme nya ntu si Engineer nya pake Master aslinya trus ntu lagu di pecah dan di setting ulang, Remastering means they went back to the original tapes, and changed the mix a little, maybe changed the EQ/FX etc. Kalo lagu lagu jaman kuda ntu biasanya mereka ngambil dari versi Analog nya trus di convert ke Digital dan di acak acak ulang. Hasilnya ntu emang ngga jauh beda ama lagu aslinye tapi if you listen closely atau ngga emang udeh Khatam banget ama lagunya pasti bisa ngebedain. biasanya lebih ke pemecahan instrument yang di ubah ubah, contoh kaya suara petikan gitarnya jadi terdengar dominan atau suara bass nya jadi lebih nendang. Tujuan Remastered ini basically means the quality has been enhanced, but the original artistic intention of the recordingnye kaga berubah..

Ada kritik kalo versi Remastered untuk tahun 2000an untuk releasean iTunes ntu suaranye jadi lebih kenceng as it called " Loudness War" where the average volume of the recording is increased at the expense of clarity and dynamic range, yang bikin suaranye jadi lebih kenceng than an uncompressed version. Dan emang bener ntu fakta jelas ,,, coba deh buktiin pake lagu lagu releasean iTunes yg asli ama Remastered keluaran 2000an.

Reissue
Reiisued ini maksudnya di rilis ulang tau Re-Released, ngga  ada yang berubah dari segi musikalitas aslinya cuma ada ambahan Material kaya tambahan lagu baru, Packaging dan sampul baru ( inget ngga istilah " ah Lagu lama  Sampul Baru" wkwkwkwk) biasanya di releasean ini di kasih embel embel  Special Edition”, “Expanded Version atau "Deluxe Edition" dan juga biasanya di release ulang kalo ntu artis udah ngeluarin Greatest Hits, to commemorate a band or artist’s popularity, influence, or anniversary as well as to keep up with continuing demand for the album.

Mempelajari istilah ini bisa membantu kita untuk nentuin apa yang kita mao denger.. Banyak orang lebih milih untuk denger versi originalnya dari pada yang remix atau versi lain. Untuk ari pribadi, if I like a song then I would chase many versions of it, biasanya ngumpulin versi versinya, kadang ada yang lebih enak, lebih unik,  kadang ada yang jadi ancur ancuran ngga jelas. Whatever your preference semoga bisa ngebantu atau ngga bisa sedikit aware ama yang didengerin.

It's Fun though listening Madonna's early years.. Musik tahun 80an mungkin terdengar jadul, tadi asik didengarkan, saat Dance Music terkenal dan originalitas karya karya penyanyinya masih tinggi walau secara technical sudah ketinggalan jaman. Album fav saya True Blue , banyak lagu bagus di album ini Music dan suara Madonna masih dalam transisi dan musicnya terdengar Raw.

Setelah nyobain pake Charcoal ari pengen coba ngelukis pake Tinta China. Ide ini pas ari liat lukisan kawan di suatu forum. Dia sketsa pake tinta china dan terlihat bagus. Gambar nya terlihat simple dan spontan. Ari pun sempet ngobrol lewat chat sama master Chycko yang punya gambar. Ari nanya dari harga tinta, warna tinta, jenis kertas sampe tehnik nya. Dan idenya pun tambah kenceng pas ari juga ketemu kawan yang juga suka art. Makan siang bareng sambil ngomongin art. Nice chat and kind of full inspirational chat, and surely i know he's an expert in his art hehehe.

Akhirnya kemaren coba ke Gramedia dan tenyata ada tintanya dan cuma ada warna hitam. Harga nya lumayan murah cuma 2900 rupiah hahaha. Trus ari beli kuas nya juga yang murah juga 2000 rupiah.

Peralatannya pun sedrhana sekali, Kata kawan untuk garis Detail nya bisa pake tusuk sate, tapi karena ga ada ari ganti pake tusuk gigi. 

Ari sempet nanya juga sama kawan pake sketsa apa ngga ya? karena ini ari baru pertama kali pake tinta china yang garis garis nya harus pasti, kata kawan coba aja pake sketsa tp tipis tipis aja.  Kali ini ari mo coba lukis Cover single nya Madonna "Sorry". Ari milih ini karena mau coba yang simple dulu. tanpa banyak detail

Mulai bikin sketsa ... cuma kali ini sekedarnya

Hasil nya lumayan, Ari ngga sempet scan step nya karena dah keburu excited sama ngerjainnya, dan takut kena scanner juga... padahal ini gampang keringnya ,,, hehehehe

Garis Garis ari pun masih terlihat kasar dan ga jelas ... gradasi belang belang yang ngga jelas dan tarikan tarikan garis yang berantakan yang keliatan banget asal asalannya wkwkwkwk

Mukanya lumayanlah . Ari masih bisa ngenalin kalo ini Madonna

Lukisan tinta cina pertama ari, hasilnya kurang lebih sama dengan jidat tapi tanpa garis garis ga jelas hahaha. 

Objek yang ari pilih pun lumayan cocok karena ngga perlu banyak detail. Essentially ngelukis tinta cina itu hampir sama kaya ngelukis pake kanvas, cuma kalo pake kanvas kita masih bisa bermain sama gradasi dan pilihan warnanya banyak srta ada tehnik blending dan tiban tiban warna yang bisa "menyamarkan" kesalahan. Kalo pake tinta china bener bener No Excuse hahahaha. kalo di lihat ari masih belum bisa lemes narik garis, mainin gradasi dan teknik lain kaya splatter atau tehnik usapan menggumpal . 

Tapi ngelukis ini lumayan cepet lah. dan ngga ribet tapi belepetan nya solid hehehee. Kalo di lihat ini sama nggabeda jauh kaya sketsa bersih cuma dengan garis spontan. Selesai gabar ini di kepala muncul lagi ide buat gambar . Lukisan tinta china kebanyakan bertema alam atau hewan atau seni kaligrafi, tapi disini ari mo coba ngelukis objek orang. Lumayan lah modal 5000 rupiah bisa belajar ngelukis ... The Most enjoying part in my painting is the Process. Kalo hasil mah ari kadang dah bisa nebak and yet most of people are enjoying an art without minding how it begins.
